Jan Rybarski

Jan Rybarski - Conductor, Since 1968 Jan Rybarski, a graduate of the Salesian Organist School in Przemyśl and the Music Academy in Cracow, has been leading the Marian Choir. He completed his studies defending the MA thesis concerning choral singing, written under the supervision of professor Jerzy Kurcz. He was conductor Józef Radwan's student. In 2001 he received the 1 level qualifications in the field of managing vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Jan Rybarski is an experienced organist, conductor, teacher and artistic consultant to the Polish Choirs and Orchestras Association.
He cooperates with the church music committees of the Cracow Archdiocese. In recognition of his contribution in the field of propagating musical culture, Rybarski was awarded the Cracow Voivode Prize in 1995 and the National Education Comission Medal in 2003. Together with the Marian Choir he took part in many choir competitions, he performed in many different countries and cities, participating in festivals and achieving general acclaim and winning numerous prizes. It was thanks to his initiative that a thick and richly illustrated monography entitled "The Colours of the Marian Choir" appeared in print and came out to commemorate the 50th jubilee of the resumption of the artistic activity of the ensemble. His efforts inspire and greatly contribute to the sucesses of the choir both in Poland and abroad.
