Jan Krenz

Jan Krenz - He was born in 1926. He is a conductor and composer, laureate conductor of National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, he belongs to the generation of musicians who, starting the activity after the war gave basis for musical life in our country. His debut came Philharmonic in Łódź on the 6th of January 1946. In the years 1947-1949 he held the post of Poznań Philharmonic's conductor (also the debut in the opera entitled Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail by Mozart, then in the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, with Grzegorz Fitelberg who saw his successor in him. The years 1953-1967 are intensive activities including recordings, concerts, numerous premiere performances of Polish composers, regular participation in Warsaw Autumn Festival and many foreign travels which made the orchestra well-known and well-estimated in the world. In the year1963 a triumphant and the longest in the history of the orchestra tour took place. It comprised 55 concerts through former Soviet Union, Mongolia, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
